March Sadness, Black Thursday, whatever you want to call it, the Corona virus has now effectively spread and killed more than people. It has killed the dreams and hard work of many. Damn you Corona!
Life lessons...are definitely not easy. One day at a time. We are not guaranteed anything. I realize that drastic measures are called for to try and flat line the spread. All spring and winter sports athletes have certainly been flat lined by these drastic measures.
I’m thankful my Seniors were able to play 8 games. I’m thankful that our coaches were able to give our underclass players lots of playing time. I’m thankful that we had Senior Night early and were able to honor the Seniors on our team.
All I can do is choose to find the good and not focus on the bad. I’ll choose to look at the positives and not the negatives. I will take away from this season the memories of the players hard work, discipline and love for each other instead of dwelling on what was taken away.
2020 sure was not the season that we thought it would be. My motto for the season ironically was “It is what it is!” Hard to digest, but can not be changed. Time to look ahead and prepare for what is next. Life lessons will continue on...
