DAY FIVE:





LIZZIE KAPLAN, Senior Midfield at Pine Crest school will play and further her education at Columbia University. Lizzie was the 2019 Broward girl's lacrosse player of the year! She was a captain and leader on her team. Lizzie is fast, smart, and has a very hard take to cage that creates an opportunity for her to finish with her strong shot. Last season, she battled through a back injury, missing several weeks of the season, but still obtained a solid 28 goals and 17 assists for 45 points. The Academic All-American also had 62 draw controls and 49 ground balls. When Lizzie was sidelined by her injury, she still led and encouraged her team with her voice! Lizzie is a great leader to watch on and off the field.

LAUREN FIGAS, Junior Midfielder from MS Douglas committed to the University of Louisville. Lauren has started and led MSD team since her freshman year. She was named a US Lacrosse All American last season. She is super fast, has a tremendous speed dodge from the top. Lauren's club coach says that "(Lauren) has one of the smartest lax IQs that I have ever had the pleasure to coach. Her domination in between the 30's is phenomenal!" Even though Lauren isn't the tallest player on her team, she still kills it on the draw with her quick hands. Lauren is fast and will be a huge component in her teams success this spring.

ALEX JOHNSON, Sophomore Middie at Bishop Moore. Alex's teammates call her "Roadrunner " and joke that speed is her middle name. Alex plays lacrosse with an innate intensity. She loves to cause turnovers and is a hug asset between the 30s. When you watch Alex play, she's a player who immediately stands out on the field.

LIZ HARRISON, Senior Draw specialist, Attack/Mid at American Heritage Delray and going to be a Gator at the University of Florida this fall. Liz is a phenominal lacrossse player! She not only fully recoverd from an ACL, but she stepped back on the field as though she'd never left. Liz is a stick trick queen. She's spent countless hours on the wall and has an entire series of cool wall ball and stick trick videos. Liz moved to Florida from Lassiter HS where she led Lassiter team to the finals of the Georgia high school state championship. Liz's freshman year, she had 33 goals, 12 assists and 53 groundballs . Moreso, what Liz can do best is win draws! She won 152 of them her freshman year. She has incredible work ethic and stick skills. Liz's hard work especially at the draw has earned her the title of draw specialist. When she is not squaring off against an opponent on defense, she will be using her sharp lax IQ on offsense. She's excellent at catching, shooting or passing balls in tight places. Little laxgirls will get to watch Liz play in Florida at UF for years to come.

JUSTYCE BARBER, Junior Middie from Berkeley Prep committed to William & Mary. Justyce was named a US Lacrosse All American. She is quick on her feet and with her hands which make up a perfect combination at middie and on the draw. She led her team with almost 100 points last year. Justyce is one to look for if you are near Tampa.

SOFIA SANTANA, Sophomore Attack at Olympic Heights HS. Sofia is a quiet force on the field. She is an extremely smart player which is reflected in her play. She's a vacuum on ground balls and is super quick on the transition. Although an attacker, Sofia will player any position her team/coaches need her to-so she is also a wicked defender as well as offensive threat. Her talents and IQ make Sofia quite a player to watch.

GABI CASH, Senior Midfielder at St. Thomas Aquinas. Gabi is a scoring threat for STA. She's been a strong contributor since her team won the State championship in 2017. With the new FHSAA classifications, Gabi's STA Raiders are looking to get back to the Championship game and win it all. Gabi's play between the 30s is sure to help get them there.

TAYLOR ROCHA, Junior Attack from Ponte Vedra HS committed to the Ohio State University. Taylor has been racking up lacrosse awards the past few years. She was name one of the top 40 juniors in the country. Taylor has a strong, hard drive to cage and knows how to find the back of the net. She's quick and will kill teams on the fast break with her quick finishes. Look for Taylor to lead her team this year and be a dynamic duo with her lefty teammate Abi Watson.

JOLIE HOROWITZ, Sophomore Defender at American Heritage Delray. Jolie has worked hard and will step up as one of the top defenders on the AH Stallions it team this season. Her lax IQ down low makes her a serious force to be reckoned with. She is quick to slide and essential on the transition. Jolie is one of those interception magnets. She has a great eye for where the ball is going and can knock it down or take it away in an instant. Look for Jolie to be disrupting offenses when she's on the field killing it on D this season.

MARY SOSBEE, Senior Middie from Lake Highland Prep heading to High Point in the Fall. Mary is a player you can count on. She knows where to be and what to do on the field. She's a team player through and through. Mary is a true two-way middie and will knock down passes and gobble up ground balls. She is a solid contributor on the LHP's offensive side. Look for Mary to help lead the Highlanders this season.
